City of Winkler To Host Olympic Flame

Olympic Flame Coming To Winkler January 7, 2010

Winkler is one of only 176 Celebration Communities in all of Canada that will have the honor of hosting a special event to welcome the Olympic Flame. The celebration will take place in front of the Winkler Arena on January 7, 2010 from about Noon-3pm. The tentative schedule of events includes fun activities from Coke and RBC, local entertainment, the arrival of the flame, videos and music.

E-Waste Roundup

Gateway Resources Inc. at 1582 Pembina Avenue in Winkler is now accepting E-waste between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Proceed through the front door for instructions for drop off. There is no charge for dropping off the following items: TV"s, monitors, scanners, printers, copiers, fax machines, desktop computers (CPU/hard drives, Mice, Keyboards & cables), laptops, DVD players, stereos, VCRs, phones, rechargeable batteries, microwaves.
