SEWER ALERT
Due to saturated ground conditions and runoff from the recent snow storm, the City’s lift stations and sewer system is running at capacity.
To help reduce this flow and the risk of sewer backup, the City Utilities Dept. is asking residents to check and ensure that their sump pumps are not discharging into their home sewer drains and try to minimize your water use.
Discharging sump pump water into the sewer is not permitted as per Sewer Bylaw 1764-03.
