Winkler has numerous community services to enjoy year-round.

The Winkler Recreation Complex includes an indoor ice rink and is home to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Winkler Flyers and the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League's Winkler Royals.

The Winkler Curling Club, next to the ice rink has an active winter program of curling for all ages and has a community hall that is used for a variety of events.

The Winkler Aquatic Centre is an outdoor pool with waterslides, splash park, and diving boards. The venue is home to the Winkler Barracudas Swim Team.

Winkler's Parkland is a large green space that includes ten ball diamonds, five of which have subsurface drainage, complete with fencing and bleachers. In addition, one diamond is fully lit for nighttime play. The Parkland also has soccer pitches, tobogganing hills, walking and cycling paths, tennis courts, a basketball court, beach volleyball pits, playground and campground.

Winkler also has several neigbourhood parks that offer playgrounds, picnic areas and space for just running around.
