Winkler Things to See and Do

The Winkler Golf Course is an eighteen hole public golf course (5760 meters), with grass greens, and watered fairways. Women's par is 72 and men's par is 71. The course features an on-site air conditioned, licensed club house, a restaurant, and a pro-shop. Golf cart rentals are available. The Winkler Golf Course is located at 400 15th St.

Meadows Golf & Amusements

This Family Entertainment Centre features Go-Carts, Par 3 Golfing, Mini Golf, Lawn Bowling, and Beach Volleyball. They also have facilities available to host groups, and refreshments are available. Open Monday-Saturday 9am-10pm, Sunday 1-10pm. For reservations or information call 325-8282.

Southland Cinemas
Southland Cinemas is located in the Southland Mall. Southland Cinemas is fully wheelchair accessible. It has 5 auditoriums, each with stereo surround sound and comfortable seating. There is also a games arcade room. Matinees are held every Saturday and Sunday afternoon and on select days during holidays. Birthday parties are welcome.

Valley Bowling Lanes

Valley Bowling Lanes is a ten pin bowling alley with fully automated scoring and a full range of bowling leagues running throughout the winter months. Valley Bowling features glow bowling every Friday and Saturday evening starting at 9pm. The lanes are open from mid August to the end of June.

Winkler Curling Club

The Winkler Curling Club has an active winter program of curling for all ages. It is located next to the Recreation Complex.

Border Valley Snow Goers
Border Valley Snow Goers is a snowmobile club with groomed trails and access to the American Trail at Neche and Walhalla.


Pembina Thresherman's Museum
Located on Highway 3 in between Winkler and Morden, the museum displays historical buildings from the area collected in a village setting. It features a log home, reproduction of a pioneer sod house, a CPR station, a church and school typical of late 19th century settlements. In the main building, agricultural machinery, tools and household items are preserved. A feature of some special interest is the significant collection of agricultural engines, both steam and gas. The museum grounds are the site of the Annual Thresherman's Reunion. Website: www.threshermensmuseum.com.


Winkler Bible Camp
Winker Bible Camp offers camps for ages 5-17. Campers may participate in many activities. Horseback riding, swimming in the pool, ropes course, climbing wall, archery, mountain biking trails and a petting zoo are just a few of the activities available at the camp. The camp is available for family and church gatherings and for outdoor education for schools. Shalom Centre is a unique retreat and conference center, which offers overnight accommodation for approx. 45 people, as well as dining and meeting facilities for approx. 75-100 people.
