Applications and Deadlines
The Winkler Community Foundation is committed to increasing the ability and capacity of local organziations to meet current and future needs. The income from our "community fund" is used to provide grants to qualified groups that are actively engaged in strengthening our community. The Foundation invites enquiries and applications from not-for-profit community based groups working within the fields of health care, education, arts and culture, recreation, environment and social services. Applicant organizations must be registered charities or be affliated with one.
Application deadline is September 30.
The Grant Making objectives of the Winkler Community Foundation are:
- To support social services to advance the welfare of the needy and the alleviation of human suffering and poverty
- To support and develop recreation and physical fitness activities
- To assist and promote the arts, culture and heritage activities
- To advance education;
- To support and advance the provision of medical services;
- To support the enhancement of the environment;
- To support and advance other community activities or facilities of a charitable nature.
In order to accomplish these objectives effectively and efficiently, the Foundation has developed a thorough review process for grant applications. The granting guidelines are attached to the grant application form.
